From 17th May 2007 Britannia Rescue is owned by Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society Limited, the UK 's largest friendly society and one of the UK's leading financial services groups. New policies taken out from 17th May 2007 will be underwritten by Liverpool Victoria Insurance Company Limited (LVIC). Policies taken out before that date remain underwritten by Motoring & Leisure Insurance Company Limited until their next renewal date when LVIC will become their underwriter.
