Britannia Rescue to Sponsor the British Bobsleigh Association

Britannia Rescue today announced that it has agreed to renew its sponsorship deal with the British Bobsleigh Association. The sponsorship which originally started in November 2009 has been extended for another year and will include sponsorship at the Bobsleigh World Cup, World Championships, Europa Cup, World Junior Championships and the British Bobsleigh Championships.

By renewing their role as the title sponsor, Britannia Rescue will continue to provide funding for the team’s ongoing training requirements. The sponsorship will include Britannia Rescue branded bobsleighs and training kit.

The British Bobsleigh team consists of 24 sportsmen and women and the sport is Britain's most successful winter team sport. The British women’s team consistently achieve top three in the World rankings.

The women’s GBR1 team will kick start their season on 10 - 11 November in the Americas Cup. Their first World Cup race will be on 22 – 28 November at the Olympic Whistler track in Canada. The men’s team will start competing in the Europa Cup on 15 – 21 November in Igls, Canada.
