Britannia Rescue wins Kirklees Business Award

Britannia Rescue has won the Judge's Choice award at the 2011 annual Kirklees Business Awards. The awards recognise outstanding business enterprises in the Kirklees area.

The Judges Choice award is given to businesses which demonstrate strong business performance and growth, as well as a commitment to the local area. There is no shortlist for this award but judges make their selection based on a range of business attributes. Britannia Rescue was selected for the 2011 award because of its financial performance, growth strategy, employee engagement and its ongoing support local community projects.

Peter Horton, Britannia Rescue Managing Director, said: "Huddersfield is the home of Britannia Rescue and we are fully committed to supporting the local area. The staff at our Folly Mills office work extremely hard to deliver excellent service to all our customers across the UK, 24 hours day and 365 days a year. We are delighted to have won the Judge's Choice Award and for our efforts to be recognised in this way."

Britannia Rescue employs 180 people in its Huddersfield office, where it operates a 24 hour service, handling all calls for breakdown assistance from the UK, Eire and mainland Europe. Over the past year the Huddersfield office has also become the first point of contact for LV= car insurance customers who have been involved in an accident.
