Mrs H, from Grimsby was travelling alone when she began to experience problems with her car, she dialled the emergency telephone number and commented that our controller was:

"Efficient, pleasant and concerned as I was alone. He was reassuring"

The agent arrived after 20 minutes and after diagnosing the fault, he was able to fix it at the roadside.

Mrs H was so impressed with the agent she wrote:

"I cannot praise him enough for his manner, concern and efficiency, even going as far as waiting whilst I did a trial run in my car. Excellent!!"

Mrs H was able to continue her journey in less than an hour from her initial call to Britannia Rescue without any further disruptions.


Miss J from Cornwall called Britannia Rescue for assistance when her car had a flat battery. She wrote:

"I spoke to a man at your call centre, he was most helpful and advised me that someone would arrive within the hour. Less than 5 minutes later he called to assure me that someone would be with me within the next two minutes. I could not believe how quick the mechanic from Pengegon Motors and Recovery was in arriving to fix my car".

"He was very thorough in checking everything and reassured me that the problem had been fixed".

Miss J was not familiar with the area she broke down in and wrote:

"As a woman on her own I was relieved to get my car fixed so that I could return home. I shall be recommending Britannia Rescue to all my friends and family".

Though as Miss J has Standard cover including roadside assistance and nationwide recovery she would have been recovered home if we hadn"t been able to fix the car at the roadside.


Mr H from Wales wrote to Britannia Rescue after his son broke down on the way home from work. He says:

"After 8 minutes of waiting on the busy A49 just outside Newport the response was appreciated".

"My son is diabetic and needed to call in his Cardiff flat for his injection kit before coming home to Cowbridge. Your agent was most accommodating and went out of his way to be helpful. He removed the faulty core plug and advised me how to replace it in the morning. He could not have been more helpful and even refused a cup of tea or coffee before departing".

"My daughter has just passed her driving test and will become another customer for Britannia Rescue".

"Once again thank you for your excellent service".


Mr H from East Sussex, contacted Britannia Rescue when his car cut out whilst driving and he was unable to restart it. He commented that our experienced telephone operator was:

" Cheerful and helpful."

A Britannia Rescue agent soon arrived on the scene and successfully diagnosed the problem as a seized up engine. As this is a major fault that cannot be rectified at the roadside, the vehicle required transporting to a garage.

"(The agent).. quickly found out that I had a seized up engine and made arrangements for the best thing to do"

The Britannia Rescue agent then took Mr H, his passenger and his vehicle to his chosen destination where Mr H was able to get his car fixed. Following this, Mr H wrote to compliment the service and signed off:

The best £70 I have spent .

"I joined Britannia Rescue in October 2002. It has simply been the best £70 I have spent for a long time! No sooner had I got away from home when my car broke down with my seriously ill mother and daughter in. I immediately rang Britannia Rescue who were with me in 30 minutes!

The rescue truck driver immediately diagnosed the fault and towed us home. Britannia Rescue picked the car up on the next day and took it to the garage for repair. The service provided by Britannia Rescue is excellent, I have no hesitation in recommending them".
